Vietnam Travel companies prepare tours for visitors during APEC 2006

Vietnam Travel companies in Hanoi have prepared marketing programmes and tours to attract visitors who attend the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting.
In addition to its Vietnam tours to places of interest in Hanoi and nearby localities, Hanoi Tourist company has also designed discovery tours to landscapes and historical sites in the southern region, including Nha Trang bay, and Nha Rong port and Cu Chi underground tunnel in Ho Chi Minh City.
Vietravel has a programme for 10 tours before and after the APEC Meeting, including one-day tours around Hanoi. Tourists can visit Van Mieu (Temple of Literature), Vietnam's first university, or travel to the ceramic village of Bat Trang about 20 km from Hanoi.
Viettravel has also designed a special a tour, called Cooking tour, where visitors go to the major markets and enjoy Vietnamese special dishes prepared from fresh meat and vegetables bought on the spot. The tourists will also be provided with recipes of the dishes they have enjoyed.
After the Meeting, the delegates can relax for two to five days at famous resorts in Vietnam such as Sa Pa in northern Lao Cai province, Ha Long bay in northeast Quang Ninh province and the Hoi An ancient town in central Quang Nam province.
Visitors will be able to book tours from their hotels, according to travel companies. Quality guides from the travel companies will answer visitors on Vietnamese history, customs, Vietnam traditional festivals, cuisines and culture.
