Hoi An Riverside voted amongst world's best resorts

The Trade Leaders' Club of Spain has voted the Hoi An Riverside Resort and Spa one of the world's most outstanding tourist establishments under the hotel, restaurant and catering industry category for 2007.
The Club's selection committee selected the resort, which is situated in Vietnam's ancient town of Hoi An, among its list during the 32nd International Award ceremony for winners in the tourism, hotel and catering industry sector, that awards merits based on the properties' unique architecture, location, services and food.
The committee's chairman, Arsenio Parde Rodriguez, recently announced that the Hoi An Riverside Resort and Spa would be one of the selected winners to be honored at the annual celebratory dinner, which this year will be held at the magnificent Melia Castilla Hotel in Madrid on January 31.
The awards presentation will coincide with the opening day of the International Tourism Fair that will continue until February 4 in the Spanish capital.
The highly respected event will be attended by the official Spanish tourism authorities, diplomats, hotel executives and numerous tourism firms from around the world.
Sonny Son, the general manager of the Hoi An Riverside Resort and Spa, said that several major tourism publications from the United States including Conde Nast Traveller and Travel + Leisure, had also just announced that the resort was to be included amongst the three best establishments in Vietnam in their annual 2006 poll.
The other two were the big-city five-star hotels Park Hyatt Saigon in HCMC, and the Sofitel Metropole Hanoi.
