The calling from the sea in summer holidays Vietnam
07/08/2006 (GMT+7)
During summer holidays, it is very interesting
if you take a journey to a beach to indulge yourself in cool water
and to freshen up your lungs with cool air from the sea. Thus there
are many tours designed for you.
From Ho Chi Minh
City, the nearest sea you can think of is in the outskirt district
of Can Gio, which is seen as "the green lungs for the city". When
you reach the forest, the first to welcome you there could be
mischievous monkeys, which live in big herds in the forest.
Then you will get on board to go deeper to the shrub forests
for sightseeing a place which used to be the living and fighting
place of Vietnamese soldiers in the past. You will end your Can Gio
sea tour at Can Thanh.
A little farther is Vung Tau. After
the Sea Festival 2006, tourist agencies in Vung Tau City have
started to work on a more professional and enthusiastic service to
welcome tourists who choose Vung Tau as the destination for their
holidays.
Not far from Vung Tau, Long Hai and Ho Coc Beach
have their own attractions. If the Long Hai Beach became a brand
that could please fastidious tourists, the wild and fresh nature of
Ho Coc will possibly a place of choice for romantic people who love
finding a taste of the wilderness.
It takes around four
hours by bus from Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet, which is known for
its Mui Ne Beach. This is seen "the hottest place for sea-tour
lovers.
From the heart of the city of Phan Thiet, the bus
will take you on a tour on the roads along the sea for sightseeing
white-sand beach in the shadow of coconut trees.
You will
also see resorts stretching along the beach, creating a colorful,
vivid, modern and fascinating picture for a place recognized as "the
capital of resorts in Vietnam."
The temples typical of Cham
culture could be an appealing invitation when you visit the beach of
Ninh Chu in Ninh Thuan Province. This is a picturesque sea with
sapphire clear water and white beach under the trees' shadow.
But it might be more
interesting when you take more than 40km from Ninh Chu to get to
Vinh Hy Bay, which is one of the four most beautiful bays in
Vietnam.
Farther north, Nha Trang has been a famous
destination for tourists for decades. The convenient location is a
strong advantage for tourism development in Nha Trang.
In
summer holidays, especially during the weekends, from Tran Phu
Street along the beach one can see a busy picture of boats taking
tourists on tours around many sites such as Tam islet and Ong islet
for swimming.
Visitors can join such activities as diving to
see corals, paragliding, or water-skiing. If you have time, you
should call on Doc Let, or Van Phong Bay where there have many
things to explore.
Keep going along the central coast
region, you will see places in Phu Yen, Ghenh Rang in Quy Nhon, Sa
Huynh in Quang Ngai, Cua Dai in Hoi An, My Khe in Danang, Nhat Le in
Quang Binh, Cua Lo in Nghe An and so forth. Each place has its own
beauty, and will make a great impression on you when coming there.
Farther south, Phu Quoc stands out as a worthwhile
destination for sea lovers. The big island off Kien Giang Province
is referred to by tourists as "the lost paradise that has been
found."
It is a place of many fine smooth sand beaches,
natural forests, clear and blue streams and cool climate all year
round. It will be an exciting place for tourists because of the
beautiful landscapes.
Last but not least, Con Dao, which
used to be a notorious prison offshore Vietnam, is an emerging
destination for visitors, and a famous point in the tourist map of
Vietnam owing to the diverse beauty spots on 16 dream-like islands.
