Six more five-star hotels in Ho Chi Minh City

According to Mr. Nguyen Huu Tho, general director of Saigontourist Holding Company, his company is pushing up the construction of six five-star hotels in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam.

Saigontourist will rebuild Kim Do Hotel and another hotel located in the International Exhibition & Convention Center in district 7, and upgrade the hotels of Rex, Continental hotel, Grand hotel and Majestic hotel ( hotels in Vietnam ), expected to be completed in 2008.

Saigontourist also heads the list of top ten travel companies in 2005, announced by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) and Vietnam Tourism Association.

Following are tourism joint-venture companies: Apex Vietnam, Exotissimo and Ho Guom Diethelm. The reast are Ben Thanh Tourist (Ben Thanh Tourist Service Company), Fiditourist (Tan Dinh Trade & Travel Services Co), and Vietnam Tourism Company’s branches in Ha Noi, Hoa Binh, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.

One of the criteria for the selection is the great number of international visitors of the Vietnam travel companies last year. The top ten Vietnam travel companies helped increase the number of international visitors to 3.5 million in 2005, up 18.4 percent year on year.
