Robinson tour to Con Dao Island
Travelling to Con Dao Island, tourists feel like being lost in the wild island of Robinson. A tour to Con Dao National Park will bring a great deal of interesting things to tourists.
Tourists can travel to Con Dao by air on ATR 72 of the Vietnam Airlines. It takes about 35 minutes. Apart from visiting such popular places as Con Dao Prison, Con Dao Museum, tiger house, Hang Duong cemetery, Phi Yen Temple, Ma Thien Lanh Bridge; Con Dao has a great variety of small islets with wild beaches for discovery.
Travel companies often take tourists to the Hon Tai – Hon Bay Canh route, about 5 kilometres from Con Dao district. Travelling to Hon Tai islet, tourists can climb the mountain, watch monkeys, bathe in the sea and dive to view coral reefs.
Going over a wooden bridge into Con Dao Natural Reserve, tourists have a chance to take tiny turtles on their hands. This season, tourists should stay overnight on the island to see turtles giving birth.
Con Dao Island is also famous for its nice beaches shaded with evergreen trees, fresh air, clear blue waters, and primitive forests. Some of those beaches include Dam Trau Hang Duong and Phi Yen where visitors can relax and enjoy the warm temperature.

Clean, smooth sand banks, blue sea, dolphins jumping and racing after boats, tropical almond trees swinging in a cool sea breeze, peaceful narrow roads, and forest covering most of the island, make Con Dao seem like heaven to visitors from far and wide.
Con Dao is one of the few places in Vietnam that are home to rare dugong, sea turtles, and dolphins, and to varieties of orchids found nowhere else in the country.
In addition, the island has large and diverse coral reefs comparable to the most famous ecotourism spots in the region. This peaceful island district has 5,000 people whom nature seems to have created with kind hearted and generous characters and adventurous enough to choose the remote island as their home.
Con Dao was recognized as a nature reserve in 1984 and a national park in 1993. The total protected area of the park is 20,000 hectares, including 14,000 hectares of sea and 6,000 hectares of forest on 1 4 islands.
There is also a buffer zone that is 20,500 hectares wide. Con Dao National Park encompasses oceanic and coastal ecosystems such as mangrove forests, coral reefs and sea grasslands.
There are three flights a week to the Con Dao Island, on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. A return ticket costs VND 1.25 million..
