Hanoi's neighbouring province of Ha Tay has submitted a plan to the Ministry of Planning and Investment to build a golf course, which is estimated to cost US$22 million.
If approved, the golf course, planned to be situated in Chuong My District, will be the third in the north and the second in Ha Tay province Vietnam .
It has been one of the two foreign-invested projects awaiting licenses from the Ministry of Planning and Investment. The other project was the building of the Mo Lao Urban Complex in the provincial capital of Ha Dong with an investment capital of $60 million.
So far this year, Ha Tay province Vietnam has licensed 10 foreign-invested projects with a total registered capital of $19.7 million.
In total, the locality has attracted $643 million from 68 foreign-invested projects, of which 44 are currently operating, mainly in the industry and construction sectors.
Prominent among them is the Thai owned CP Group-Vietnam Company, which is breeding poultry and cattle, and producing poultry feed.
In the first half of this year, the foreign-invested sector grossed revenues of nearly $158 million, representing an 11.4 percent rise over the same period last year.
