10/09/2006 (GMT+7)
Nearly three fourths of foreign tourists (74%) said that tourist sites in Vietnam are clean and beautiful, according to a survey conducted by the General Statistics Office
.
Nghe An, Thua Thien-Hue provinces and Da Nang City, all in the central region, were regarded to have the most beautiful natural landscapes.
International tourists al so spoke well of accommodations in the country (65.7%). Half of them thought transport services are good, with only 4.4% rating it as bad.
However, most of them said that local cultural, sports and recreational services are not good enough to attract international visitors.
The survey provides important information for the tourism sector and localities to improve their services in order to develop tourism into one of Vietnam's key economic sectors by 2010.
