Vietnam Promotions for vacations at the sea

As it is, the summer is low season for foreign tourist arrivals in Vietnam. This year, the World Cup carves further into the already small number of foreign travellers.

Thus, some resorts and luxury hotels of Saigontourist along Vietnam’s coast lines have launched promotions as a main way to attract local tourists, especially those who want to enjoy their summer vacations at the sea with all services and comfort.

Su Khac Biet Tuyet Voi (the wonderful difference) is the newest program of the four-star Saigon-Phu Quoc Resort. Three days and two nights at the resort on Phu Quoc Island in southern Vietnam cost VND 1.7 million.

The package includes such services as Internet and usage of such facilities as the discotheque and tennis courts, swimming pool, golf course and gym. Activities such as fishing and seeing corals are also on offer.

Meanwhile, four-star Yasaka Saigon-Nha Trang Hotel in the central coast city of Nha Trang, after two nights, discounts 50% off the room price for the third night and 60% for the fourth.

The promotion runs from June 1 to September 30. The 174-room hotel has four restaurants, three meeting rooms, a discotheque, a swimming pool and other facilities.

The head department of Vietnam Tourism, the Vietnam Tourism Association and The Guide magazine awarded the hotel for having the best services in Nha Trang in 2004.

Farther north, in Halong City in Quang Ninh Province, tourists can stay for US$25 to US$45 per night at the four-star Saigon-Halong Hotel. The cheaper rates count from May 1 to September 30.

The hotel, one of the largest in Halong Bay, has 205 rooms, five villas, two restaurants, a swimming pool, and massage and sauna services and organizes many tours around the Unesco-recognized bay.

At Mui Ne, a popular beach stretch not far from Ho Chi Minh City, many promotions can be found, lowering weekend prices by 20% during the week. Some resorts even offer to bring tourists by car from Ho Chi Minh City to Mui Ne near Phan Thiet City.
