Vietnam tours: Beach break tours for tourists on the traditional Tet

10/01/07 (GMT+7)

In the middle of last year, Ben Thanh Tourist launched their Summer Hideaways tours, offering tourists the chance to stay in four five-star seaside resorts.

Following the success of these tours, which have attracted many tourists, and to coincide with Tet 2007 which falls in the middle of next month, the company is cooperating with luxury seaside resorts in Southern and Central areas to offer more destinations for tourists, compared with just three destinations last year.

The nine beach break tours will offer visitors a chance to relax with sun, sand, sea and surf, and enjoy the luxury services of beach resorts in Long Hai in the coastal province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Phu Quoc Island in the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang Vietnam, the Central Province of Binh Dinh's Quy Nhon City, as well as at the three established destinations of Mui Ne Phan Thiet, Hoi An, and Nha Trang.

For the three-day relaxation trips, tourists can choose tours to Phu Quoc, Quy Nhon, Hoi An, Da Nang Vietnam, while five-day trips are available in Nha Trang and Mui Ne Phan Thiet.

Ben Thanh Tourist’s public relation executive, Cao Ngoc Minh, said that the company expects these tours to attract more foreigners and Overseas Vietnamese or Viet Kieu.

"More Viet Kieu need tours for relaxing with their families on the holidays, so we have combined with luxury resorts to make sure that guests will stay at better resorts," she said.

The company’s expanded list of tours include  Anoasis Beach resort in Long Hai, five-star Palm Garden resort in Quang Nam Vietnam, Sofitel Vinpearl resort & spa in Nha Trang, Victoria resort in Phan Thiet and others, which they have added to their four existing resorts, Seahorse and Phu Hai in Phan Thiet, Sunrise in Nha Trang, and Hoi An Beach resort in Quang Nam.

Like Summer Hideaways tours, Ben Thanh Tourist did not add any adventure activities to these tours,  however, Vietnam tour operators do offer optional tours for tourists who want to go sight seeing in provinces and cities.

For example, in the three-day tour from Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang, guests will have ample time to enjoy themselves in the coastal city. Tourists may book optional half-day city tours to explore Nha Trang with a surcharge of US$19 per passenger, or the full day boat tour to explore offshore islands of Nha Trang, which costs an additional US$49 per passengers.

Ho Chi Minh City is expecting more than 100,000 Viet Kieu to return home for the Vietnam traditional Lunar New Year.
