Vietnam Phu Quoc Island to Build Ecological Reserve

The southern province of Kien Giang will build an ecological reserve on Phu Quoc Island, according to the People’s Committee there.
Covering an area of 88 hectares, the reserve is set to be home to a variety of marine-life as well as many endangered animals from the Asia-Pacific region.
The Dong Duong Company will work with foreign investors to develop detailed plans for the reserve's development.
Phu Quoc Island has 42 species of flora and 23 species of fauna listed on The World Conservation Union’s Red Book of endangered species.
