22/01/07 (GMT+7)

Discovery of spring in the Central Highlands Vietnam during the traditional lunar New Year is viewed as a charming tour organised by Saigontourist because tourists have a chance to feel beauty of vast and imposing natural landscapes and learn about traditional culture of the Ba Na and Xe Dang ethnic minority groups.

On the way to Buon Ma Thuot, tourists call at the Don village with 100-year-old wooden stilt houses and charnel houses of the Ede ethnic people and are told about the Elephant King. This is a place where tourists can breathe fresh air of the highlands and feel delighted with the D’ray Sap waterfall. A visit to villages of the Ede ethnic people is included in the tour, when tourists can enjoy ruou can (wine drunk out of a jar through pipes) and hang about on elephant backs.

In the evening, nothing is more interesting than sitting by the flame to enjoy gong performances given by the Central Highlands villagers.

From Kon Tum, tourists travel by boat to the Yaly hydro-electric power plant, viewing surface of Yaly Lake vast amid the mountain and forest of the Central Highlands. Each time when spring comes, Kon Tum is an ideal place to listen to epics told by villagers of the imposing and undaunted Central Highlands.
