Vietnam Religious Belief Dances Video
Religious belief dance exists and develops in spiritual life through rites, customs and practices of each ethnic community.
It’s usually showed on occasions such as: funeral, divine worship, treatment, services of the soil god, the sea god, the harvest god, the forest god worships, expelling demons, etc…by powwows.
Religious dances of Viet community (Kinh people)
Viet people are in a majority of Vietnam population. Most of them embrace Buddhism, worship at home, pagodas and temples. Religious belief with dance has become a very effective tool. “Hau bong” dance (also called Len dong dance – dance into a trace), a kind of religious dances of Viet ethnic group, is an official rite in the service of worships. There are 3 genres of hau bong dance separated or miced upon working environment.
