Vietnam Singing A Dao Video

A Dao singing is one of the outstanding chamber singing performances of the Vietnamese people in the North. A Dao singing has high professional and scholarly characteristics. It expresses many immortal poems of confucian scholars. A Dao singing has three categories. They are Hat tho than (Singing for the deities) at the temples, Hat thi (Singing in a competition) and Hat choi (Amusing singing) in the bars, or mandarin houses. The accompaniment for A Dao singing includes 3-stick castenets, which is played by the actress when she is singing, Day wind instrument, and Chau drum. The harmony of flexible melody of the beautiful voice on the bass background of Day wind instrument with dry beat and the sound of drum brings the wonderfulness for A Dao singing art.
