Vietnam Airlines cuts fares for the elderly

2011-08-17 (GMT + 7)

Vietnam Airlines will offer a 15% discount on economy-class fares to Vietnamese passengers aged 60 or above when they book domestic flights on the carrier and its subsidiary Vietnam Air Services Co. (Vasco) from Tuesday.

VN Airlines said the new fare policy was part of its efforts to help more people travel by air. Beneficiaries have to show their identity card for the discount tickets issued at the national flag air carrier’s ticketing offices nationwide.

The fares for senior passengers are calculated based on the ceiling levels already approved in the Ministry of Finance’s Decision 916/QD-BTC issued on April 22.

For more information, passengers can access www.vietnamairlines.com or call Vietnam Airlines via (04) 38320320 or 19005454 86 in Hanoi, (08) 38320320 in Ho Chi Minh City and (0511) 3832320 in Da Nang.
