The 2012 National Tourism Year, titled “Ancient Hue - New Experience” will combine with the 2012 Hue Festival and aim to promote the country’s cultural values and cultural and natural heritage sites to international friends.

A wide range of events, including the Charming Vietnam Gala, the second International Choir Festival, the ASEAN International Chess Championship and the International U18 Tennis Championship will be held as part of the 2012 National Tourism Year.

The central province expects to receive 2.5-3 million visitors by 2015, earning more than 3 trillion VND and contributing to 47-48 percent of its gross domestic product.
