2009-12-12 (GMT + 7)

The 4th European Food Festival is ready to roll at the former EuroVilla home of EuroCham at 257 Hoang Van Thu Street in HCMC's Tan Binh District this Saturday, offering authentic foods and drinks of the continent

The European Chamber of commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) said leading hotels and restaurants in the city had put their names down to serve a wide selection of European foods and drinks at 25 pavilions at the annual feast.
Partygoers will find Greek moussaka, English jelly, Belgian and German beers, Spanish paella, Italian tiramisu, French cheese and wine, and many more at the festival scheduled for 5.30 11.00 p.m.
The European dishes and drinks will be served by the Sheraton Saigon, the Sofitel Plaza Saigon, Baby Spoon, Byblos, Pacharan, Pendolasco, An Nam Gourmet, La Vie, Friesland Campina, Red Apron, Vine Group and TKM Group.
The Sesame Restaurant, a hospitality school for disadvantaged children in HCMC, will be a special guest of this year's festival and share some of their favorite dishes.
Guests will also be treated to a variety of live music and other on-stage performances by the bands Emerald Flamenco and Acoustic Rock as well as lucky draws and children's entertainment.
Lucky draw prizes have been provided by the Cendeluxe in Phu Yen Province, the Seahorse in Phan Thiet, Novotel Nha Trang and Victoria and include a DHL Express worldwide free 10kg voucher and a roundtrip with Qatar Airways to any destination in Europe.
Last year's European Food Festival attracted more than 800 people and EuroCham expects a larger turn-out and more fun this year.
Tickets for the upcoming event are VND280,000 for those 12 years old and above, and a buyer of 15 tickets will get one free. Children can walk in free but should purchase vouchers to buy foods and beverages.
Tickets can be purchased at the EuroCham office in HCMC at 49 Mac Dinh Chi Street, District 1. For further information, call 08 3827 2715 or email
