Hanoi Redtour offers 4-day trips to Danang city – Hoian ancient town – Lang Co beach costing 3.8 million dong per person, 4-day tours to Nha Trang city – 4.3 million dong, to Ho CHi Minh city(HCM City) and Vung Tau – 4.8 million dong, to HCM City- Phan Thiet – 4.8 million dong. These tours include air fare, a reduction of over 2 million dong. However, discount tours are not organized during holidays.
Hanoi Redtour also introduces Beijing-Shanghai tours, costing $539/visitor, nearly $100 down; Beijing-Shanghai-Hangzhou-Suzhou at the price of $399, a reduction of $70/visitor. However, travelers must register for these tours in April.
Redtour Deputy Director Nguyen Cong Hoan claims this is the biggest discount in 2010, based on Vietnam Airlines airfare plan for Vietnam travel agents. Prices for some domestic tours are a little higher than airfares, for example the tours to Danang, Nha Trang and Phan Thiet.
Vietran Tour also offers tours to the southwestern region, pricing 4.2 million dong per person or 4-day relax tour at Sunspa resort in the central province of Quang Binh, costing 4.8 million dong per visitor; 3-day Hanoi – Nha Trang tours pricing 4.2 million dong per person, 3-day Hanoi – Quy Nhon tours – 4.1 million dong/visitor. The firm’s director Dinh Nguyet Anh notes the prices for these tours are discounted 40 percent.
Newstar Tour organizes Vietnam-Myanmar tours pricing 11.4 million dong/person, which will end in mid-June.
Travel companies recommend visitors book tours early to enjoy discounts.
It is expected that the number of domestic visitors to coastal cities like Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phan Thiet and Tuy Hoa will rise sharply this summer. Some big hotels in the central region have announced summer promotions as well. From May 5 to August 31, visitors who stay at least two nights at Da Nang’s five-star Furama resort will be discounted $60/room/night ($162) and provided some free services.
Nha Trang’s Vinpearl Resort will stay at $200/night, but adds three free meals/day as part of its promotion package.
