According to the organizing board, VITM 2013 drew 368 booths and about 1,200 companies, who attended the event to seek cooperation opportunities. Specifically, this is the first time the event sold tours directly to visitors. However, tour and air ticket buying demand was very high, and businesses were not able to satisfy all of it.
Especially, VITM supply more products related to Responsible travel, eg: RTC ( The Responsible Travel Club of Vietnam ) Footprint Vietnam Travel ( Focus on Responsible travel ), etc.
The event offered opportunities for domestic tourism companies and international travel agencies to meet and sign cooperating contracts to help localities introduce their tourist products as well as their tourism potential.
VITM is assessed as a significant event of the domestic tourism sector this year, succeeding in stimulating tourism demand and connecting major tourism localities to join hands to build a trademark for Vietnam’s tourism.
