According to KTO’s statistics, the number of Vietnamese tourist arrivals to the Republic of Korea (RoK) in the first seven months this year rose 31.1 percent. During the same period, nearly 440,000 RoK tourists visited Vietnam, a year-on-year increase of 4.3 percent. KTO assessed that Vietnam is a potential market for RoK tourism and the country’s tourism sector must have solutions to promote its potential in the near future.
In the first half of 2013, KTO kicked off the campaign “RoK Tourism Year in Vietnam” and the organisation will focus on building and introducing new tourism products in the second half of the year. Specifically, on September 12, KTO will organise a road-show programme to introduce the type of tourism with commendation in Vietnam.
