No visitor fees for Halong Bay during Tet

Entry to all sites at Halong Bay in the northern province of Quang Ninh will be free of charge during the lunar New Year (Tet) holiday, from Jan. 23 to Feb. 5, the provincial People’s Committee said on Jan. 20.

halongThe decision represented the gratitude of the province to visitors across the country and international friends, who supported and voted for Halong Bay to become one of the New 7 Wonders of the World.

According to Phung Duc Tin from Halong Bay Management Board, the board has worked out plans to ensure good services and public order in tourism sites as well as protect the environment during this year’s Tet holiday.
