According to organisers of International Travel Expo in Ho Chi Minh City (ITE HCMC), Ho Chi Minh City will focus on outbound tourism in 2012. It is expected that 100 outbound tours managers from four countries will be invited to join this year’s event to be held from September 13th to September 15th in Ho Chi Minh City. “Four nations - one destination” involving Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar will be a main topic of the expo.

Instead of activities for people to buy international products to discover four nations’ tourism, various meetings between buyers and sellers of outbound tours and several introductions for this kind of tourism will be organised.

In Ho Chi Minh City, outbound tourism is strongly developing. According to Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, 900 thousands out of two million of travellers from Ho Chi Minh City and its neighbouring areas go abroad.
