2011-06-07 (GMT + 7)

Cuban artists will perform at the 2011 Sea Festival in Nha Trang from June 11-16. General Director of the Cuban National Folkloric Group, Manolo Micler said this is the first time Cuban artists will attend the festival.

Fifteen artists will perform folk and Latin American dances, including the mambo, casino, rumba, son and chachacha, and introduce traditional musical instruments.

At a meeting with the artists in Havana, Vietnam ambassador to Cuba, Vu Chi Cong said that their attendance at the Sea festival will strengthen cultural cooperation between the two countries.

The Cuban National Folkloric Group was established in 1962 with the aim of preserving and promoting traditional Cuban dances and music. The group has won many international awards over its 80 tours of 45 countries around the world.
