The 4th Kite Festival is one of 9 key cultural events of BR-VT province in 2012 that gathers 60 international artists from 25 countries and territories of 5 continents, together with 80 kite artists from 3 regions of Vietnam.

Mr. Quan Hang Cao – international kite artist told that Vietnam Kite Association together with flute-kite were recognized by the world and Kiting on night became speciality of BR-VT province.

The 4th International Kite Festival will be held to maintain and uphold traditional cutural features, provide wholesome and civilized social environment which play role as base for social-economic development. On the other hand , the festival also improve cultural events to be special tourist products that enrich activities of local tourism. The festival is also a cutural bridge between countries and chance for enterprises to introduce themselves to the world.

In April 2011, BR-VT province used to successfully hold the 3rd International Kite Festival with theme “We share a same sky” with attendance of 146 foreign artists from 20 countries and territories and 70 home artists. The International Kite Festival being held yearly is a good chance to publicize friendly impression of Vietnamese people to the world.
