The Tourism Day set for April 12-15 at September 23 Park, District 1 will attract the participation of around 80 enterprises and 25 provinces with 150 booths to introduce tourism products and services, according to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Many travel firms in Ho Chi Minh City said they were preparing promotion programs and new products for summer, the biggest travel season for both domestic and outbound segments. The Tourism Day will also include a food section with some 20 booths.
The Southern Land Food Festival 2012 is the second largest event of the city’s tourism. Some 50 food firms joining this food festival at Dam Sen Cultural Park in District 1 on May 25-27 will set up around 90 booths introducing famous dishes, drinks and specialties of many provinces.
In addition to introducing the food culture, cooking contests, music performances and traditional games will also be featured at the food festival.
Meanwhile, the Southern Fruit Festival 2012 will take place on June 1-23 at Suoi Tien Cultural Park in District 9 with fruits from 21 provinces on display. Besides, there will be fruit parades, decorations and competitions at the festival.
