With the theme of “Quang Ninh-combines the best”, Halong Carnival 2012 will be one of the most important events during Halong-Quang Ninh tourism week 2012. As scheduled, the festival will be held on May 1st at Bai Chay Tourism Complex (Halong city).Cultural values of different ethnic groups and potentials of localities within the province will be tapped and promoted on this festival.

This is the first time that people representing for different ethnic groups within the province have ever been mobilized to join this street festival. This year Carnival expects to have the participation of about 3,800 people. There will be two main parts, including the Carnival and street dancing as well as fireworks performance.

Speaking at the meeting, the Vice-Chairwoman of the PPC has basically agreed with the script of the festival. Accordingly, Halong Carnival 2012 will last from 20:00 to 23.00 on the May 1st and will be broadcasted live on VTV1 channel.
