The Red River is 1,149 km long in total, originating from China, flowing across Vietnam to the East Sea.

It has various names, such as Hong Ha or Cai River. The Red River enters Vietnam in A Mu Sung Commune, Bat Xat District, and flows through the east of Hanoi.

A large amount of alluvial soil, an average of around 100 million tonnes per year, flows in the Red River.

Seen as a red martial Dragon, the Red River plays a vital role in daily life and production of local people.
