At a press briefing on March 16, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism said the 2011 National Tourism Year will highlight the south central coastal region with 30 cultural, sports and tourism events in co-hosting provinces and cities, including Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan.This is opportunity to attract foreign tourists travel to Vietnam.
The event is timed to coincide with the 400 th founding anniversary of Phu Yen province.
Phu Yen Tourism Year 2011 is expected to offer chances for domestic and foreign visitors to discover the uniqueness of islands and beaches in the region as well as to promote island, beach tourism in Vietnam .
The event is also aimed at helping develop regional provinces and cities’ socio-economy.
