The night street will be built on the busy Nguyen Dinh Chieu, running from Truong Tien Bridge to Phu Xuan Bridge. The vibrant area attracts many tourists as it runs along the stunning Huong River.
The night street will open from 5 p.m. to 12 p.m. daily with around 150 stalls selling fashion, fine art products, household products and food. The local government has asked the company to arrange booths and try not to badly affect the traffic and surroundings.
Booths need to be designed in harmony with cultural features, weather and the character of Hue City.
The night street will open for the Christmas holidays and is expected to be a hotspot for tourists.
Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street has been a pedestrian-only street since Hue Festival 2004 and through the numerous festivals that take place in the city, the street has always attracted a large volume of tourists to community activities, festivities and souvenir shops.
Recently, local authorities also approved the Saigon Morin Hotel to host a Southern food program on weekend nights, luring many visitors.
