To encourage stronger investment for better infrastructure of Hue Travel, Director of the province’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Phan Tien Dung recently made the announcement and added that right now the investment for the local tourism sector is doing its utmost.
Hue Travel has created favorable mechanisms and policies for an open business climate to mobilize both domestic and foreign resources for the development of tourism and services, said Mr. Dung.
According to the Director, the locality is developing new tourist products and building tourist complex sites in order to fully tap its potentials in terms of landscape, archaeology, marine ecosystem, convalescence, and craft villages.
Especially, the province attaches importance to promoting heritage values of the Hue Ancient Capital, developing craft industries, expanding trade and service networks, generating jobs and solving pollution problems.
The number of tourists travel to Hue reaches an average of 1.5-2 million each year, chiefly from France, the US, as well as Southeast Asia.
