The Ba Ria – Vung Tau Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism reported that in October the province welcomed 204,000 tourists, raising the figure for whole ten months of this year to 8 million reaching 95.95% of the year’s target. Of this, nearly 300,000 foreign tourists visited the province.
For first 10 months of 2010, Vung Tau contribute an estimated VND 1,71 trillion, 96% of the year’s target in total revenue of Vietnam Travel.
By October 2010, the province had 76 hotels and motels ranked from one to five stars with 4,195 rooms. In the near future, the Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism will coordinate with the Hotel Department under the Vietnam National Tourism Administration to continue to appraise the rankings for hotels.
Ba Ria-Vung Tau is located in Southern Vietnam, northeast of the Mekong Delta. It is a popular resort approximately 120 km from Ho Chi Minh City.
