New luxury train brings you to Sa Pa in style

A luxury train with one first-class cabin and all the amenities began operating earlier this week from Hanoi to Lao Cai.
The 9-hour trip will depart Hanoi at 11:50pm and leave Lao Cai at 12:30am. Tickets for the train cost VND990,000 for a first-class bed, VND340,000 for a bed in a four-person cabin, VND300,000 for a bed in a six-person cabin and VND200,000 for a sofa seat.
Passengers can book tickets by calling (04) 942 9919 in Hanoi. There are also another five trains operating daily between Hanoi and Lao Cai.
Hong Kong Airlines starts weekly Ho Chi Minh City service
Hong Kong Airlines has launched the Ho Chi Minh City-Hong Kong air service, with three weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The two-and-a-half hour flights will start from Hong Kong to Tan Son Nhat Airport at 10:30am and return at 11:15am, using a 165-seat Boeing 737-800 airplane on the route.
A representative of the carrier said one more weekly flight on Sundays would be added to the three weekly flights beginning on Sunday.
New Evason Ana Mandara Villas open in Da Lat Vietnam
A 57-room resort, restaurant and spa set in Da Lat, the capital of the Tay Nguyen (Central Highlands) province of Lam Dong Vietnam, has been opened by the Six Senses Resorts & Spas Vietnam. The resort includes 17 fully restored French colonial villas built between the 1920s and 1930s.
They retain the unique personalities of their original owners while being restored to their former glory.
Ho Chi Minh City's New York Diner hosts US food promotion
The New York Diner, in co-operation with the US Department of Agriculture, the US Meat Export Federation and the Washington Apple Commission, is organising from September 4 to 14 a food promotion featuring high quality US foods, including beef, turkey, chicken, potatoes and Washington state apples.
The restaurant, at 8A Le Thanh Ton Street in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 1 is offering a 30 per cent discount for all US foods during the week.
Super Star Gemini takes 620 tourists to Vietnam
The Super Star Gemini with 620 passengers, mainly from Australia and New Zealand, on board, docked at Tien Sa Port in Da Nang Vietnam on Monday.
Saigontourist Da Nang branch took the tourists to well-known scenic landscapes and historical sites in Da Nang Vietnam, Hue and Hoi An Vietnam. During the city tour of Da Nang Vietnam, the tourists visited Marble Mountain and Non Nuoc traditional handicraft village and went shopping in the city centre.
Since the beginning of the year, the central city has received over 40 cruise ships, a 205% year-on-year increase, and about 20,000 tourists, city authorities said.
