Vietnam to pay $275,000 for tourism advertising on CNN

Vietnam tourism advertising, a 30-second video clip on Vietnam tourism will be broadcast around 200 times on CNN over 13 weeks, starting from early October 2007. The expenditures for making this clip and broadcasting fees are around US$275,000.

Vietnam tourism advertising on CNN,Halong travel

On September 6, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung approved the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s plan to advertise Vietnam’s tourism on the world famous CNN channel.

The project is conducted in the form of contractor nomination, including the production of the advertising video clip.

According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the 30-second video clip will be broadcast 182 times on CNN as of October 2007, at gold hours. Filmmakers will shoot at Ha Long Bay Vietnam (Halong Bay Tours), a world natural heritage site, and in Hanoi (Hanoi Tours) to make the video clip, which will be completed in Singapore.

The video clip advertises Vietnam as an attractive destination with diversified and abundant cultural aspects and tourism products.

The clip will be censored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism before broadcasting.
