Vietnam’s Image to be Advertised in France

Vietnam’s Image, nearly 80 Vietnamese enterprises and a group of artists will go to France to take part in a program titled “Vietnamese days in France”.

The trip aims to showcase the Vietnamese people and country and seek business opportunities for businesses from both countries.
General Secretary of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), Pham Gia Tuc said: “Vietnamese days in France” was assigned to the VCCI to act as the central agency, together with relevant bodies, in setting up the specific program for the promotion of the country’s image overseas and is also highlighting Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung’s visit to France in the near future.”
Along with activities on economic exchanges, seminars, and a business forum with the participation nearly 80 domestic enterprises, the organizing board has a plan to introduce Vietnamese culture to the French through a week long film festival and Vietnam traditional art performances.
This is the seventh time Vietnam has organized promotion activities to overseas after successfully holding the programs “Vietnamese days in the US, Germany, and Singapore” in 2005, “Vietnamese days in Belgium, Luxembourg, and England” in 2006, and “Vietnamese days in the Re[ublic of Korea” in May, 2007. The program in France is expected to be held by late September.
Vietnam’s Image, up to May 2007, France has injected a capital of 2.2 billion USD into 177 projects in Vietnam and ranks ninth out of 77 countries and territories pouring investment in Vietnam.
Vietnam’s Image, In terms of tourism, the country is always in the top 10 countries which have the largest number of tourists coming to Vietnam. In the first six months of 2007, nearly 100,000 French visitors came to Vietnam.
