Footprint’s Stylish Junks on Halong Bay
24/09/07 (GMT+7)
November will see the launch of Footprint Vietnam’s new stylish junk. The name of the boat is still secret but the idea has now come to life.
The new boat is in the final stages of construction and is modeled after the classic Halong Bay Junk, but will be considerably smaller. The idea comes from talking with return clientele and the demand for a more intimate tour of the World Heritage Site.
The new style junk is designed to accommodate both the romantic getaway for honeymooners and the fun filled atmosphere with all the amenities for families.
The size of the new vessel will allow the passengers to get much closer to Halong Bay’s natural wonders, pocket lagoons, and it’s small fishing communities.
Other differences from the classic junk include large bedroom windows and a covered outdoor deck for meals, which includes a small bar. Keen attention to detail has been put into all aspects of comfort and viewing pleasure.
Footprint’s new stylish junk will not be alone. Plans for a twin brother and three younger sisters are soon on the way.
As a responsible tour operator and with the evident global climate change crisis, Footprint has hopped on board and is researching environmentally friendly possibilities and alternative fuel sources. The tour company welcomes any suggestions on this topic, please send us your email to: GreenFuel @ Footprint.Vn
