Quang Ninh announces taskforce for Ha Long Bay Vietnam

Ha Long Bay Vietnam, Quang Ninh province authorities have organised a conference to introduce the province’s campaign for the selection of Ha Long Bay as a world natural heritage.
So far Quang Ninh has organised many activities to advertise the image of Ha Long Bay such as the establishment of the Campaigning Council for the selection of Ha Long, cooperating with CNN film making group to film the bay, and working with the press at home and abroad to guide the voting for Ha Long.
At the conference, the province announced the four representatives that will advertise and campaign for Ha Long (Advertising Halong Bay), the Ha Long 2008 taskforce: the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the Quang Ninh People’s Committee, Tuoi Tre Newspaper and website diendan1080.com.
The taskforce will organise and guide the selection of Ha Long Bay Vietnam on the Internet, a paging service, writing contest, photo contest, make video clips on Ha Long Bay. All of these are to market the beauty of Ha Long Bay and Vietnam to the world.
The selection of seven world natural heritage sites is being organised by NewOpenWorld, which is based in Switzerland and managed by Swiss billionaire Bernard Weber.
Readers can visit website www.natural7wonders.com to nominate natural landscapes as world natural wonders because the organisers want to collect opinions from all over the world before announcing the list of 21 bright ‘candidates’. After this phase is voting and the results will be announced on August 8, 2008.
