Vietnam tourism luxury train set for launch in December
30/10/07 (GMT+7)
Vietnam tourism luxury train, the Railway Transport and Trade Joint-Stock Company (RATRACO) and the Saigon Railway Passenger Transport Company signed a cooperation deal over the weekend to build a luxury train line catering to business travellers and tourists heading to Nha Trang.

The project owner said the Golden Lines train would run four carriages daily. The carriages will be linked to the SN2 train going to Nha Trang and the SN1 train heading back to Ho Chi Minh City.
Vo Ngoc Tung, the project’s managing director, said the company has invested VND 8 billion to upgrade existing facilities to cater for middle and upper-class passengers.
According to Tung, the trains will include lavish interior decorations and contain seven cabins furnished with beds only. Each cabin will be large enough to fit four people and contain deluxe-sized beds to provide travellers with the most comfortable accommodation.
Golden Lines will also have Business Cabins that include one bed and modern facilities for those who need privacy on their trip to Nha Trang.
Tung declined to reveal the price of tickets, but said tickets would be sold until the last minute due the nature of business travel. Train operators will begin selling tickets in late November for the Golden Line’s first trip to Nha Trang on December 20.
