Departing from Kien Giang Province’s Ha Tien town, the ship will pass Sihanoukville, the port city of Cambodia, before arriving at Thailand’s ecological tourist area in Chanthaburi Province.

Government departments are now trying to raise VND10 billion (US$625,000) in investment capital for upgrading the ship and material facilities for the route

This route is being developed under an agreement between Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand after a multipartite conference in Kien Giang Province over October 24-25.

The route’s operators plan to inaugurate the new route at the end of the year.
