Foreigners travel to Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam

Foreigners travel to Ho Chi Minh City, over the past ten months, Ho Chi Minh City has greeted more than 2.1 million foreign tourists, increasing by 15 percent over the same period last year and reaching 81 percent of the yearly target, said its tourism department.

Foreigners travel to Ho Chi Minh City

In October alone, an estimate 240,000 foreign tourists travel to Ho Chi Minh City, an year-on-year increase of 16 percent. Of this figure, about 190,000 foreigners visited the city by air, an increase of 20 percent year on year and the overland visitors were 50,000, up 25 percent.

Foreign tourists travel to Ho Chi Minh City in October, the city’s total tourism turnover recorded 1,777 billion VND, an increase of 21 percent over the same period of 2006, raising this figure in the first ten months to an estimated 17, 2 trillion VND (reaching 88 percent of the yearly target).

According to the Ho Chi Minh’s tourism department, in October, about 60,000 people from the city and other neighboring provinces went abroad through Tan Son Nhat Airport to travel and visit relations.
