Tourist festival day in Binh Thuan Vietnam

24/10/07 (GMT+7)

Tourist festival day in Binh Thuan Vietnam, the coastal province of Binh Thuan kicked off the Tourist Festival on Wednesday, marking the 12th anniversary of tourist development in the region of Mui Ne, attributable to the event of a total solar eclipse in the region in 1995.

Tourist festival day

The two-day festival was organized with a number of activities. Local records were acknowledged and 12 hotels and resorts were honored for their contributions to the development of the local tourism, including the Victoria resort , Bamboo Village, Saigon-Mui Ne and Novotel, to name but a few.

Also during the evening a local company, VietKings, handed out nine acknowledgements of Vietnamese records held by the resort city. These records named Binh Thuan Province Vietnam as the land cultivating the most dragon fruits, the coastline with the biggest number of resorts and the region with the most beautiful sand dunes, among others.

Everyone who came to the festival was treated to performances by extraordinary artists, such as Nguyen Van Dieu who can blow with his eyes, and Quang Hien who can pull a car with his teeth. Guests also had a chance to taste the specialties of the province.

Volleyball on beach

One of the activities in the tourist festival was an amateur ladies beach-volleyball competition at the Saigon-Mui Ne Resort on Monday, organized by hotels and resorts in Mui Ne.

Although the competition was organized for fun, the seven teams from resorts played enthusiastically in the two-day competition.

Doi Su Resort beat Saigon-Mui Ne Resort to win the trophy.

The organizers also awarded Pham Anh Hong from Saigon-Mui Ne Resort the prize of Miss Sport of Binh Thuan Tourism.
