Votes for Ha Long Bay Vietnam: American child prodigy

Ha Long Bay Vietnam, during her trip to Vietnam, Adora Svitak, 10, American literature prodigy, voted for Ha Long Bay as a world natural wonder Wednesday morning in Ho Chi Minh City.

With a typing speed of 70 words per minute, the prodigy, who began to play with computers at the age of two, performed the online poll very fast and skillfully.
“I’m very happy to be invited to the poll. And I’m proud of contributing a little effort to help Ha Long Bay of Vietnam to become a world wonder,” she said.
Before the poll, the girl participated in various activities in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam, including visiting the Vietnam History Museum, signing her books in Vietnamese, attending a press conference, etc.
Adora Svitak is called “the world’s most intelligent child” by the US media. She began to write short stories on the computer at the age of 3.5 and she had written her first book, Flying Fingers, by the age of seven. This book is published in Vietnamese already.
The girl, whose father is a Czech and mother is a Chinese, writes hundreds of short stories and poems each year. She reads between 2-3 books a day and her guideline is “reading and writing books is my life”.
Svitak voted for Ha Long Bay Vietnam at the launching ceremony of the official website supporting the selection of the bay, organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union Central Committee, Quang Ninh province and Tuoi Tre Newspaper.
The website is in three languages, Vietnamese, English and French, providing abundant information about Ha Long Bay Vietnam and enabling visitors to vote for the bay. Visitors can also participate in three contests on Ha Long Bay Vietnam on the site (photo, writing and Ecard contests).
