Hai Phong Travel Festival to feature sea food fair

Hai Phong Travel Festival, food and drink fair entitled “Fishermen Opening Festival” in the beach town of Do Son, Haiphong city, due to be held during the upcoming sea festival will feature attractive tours, special seafood and sea products.

The management board has invested upgrading the infrastructure, installing an electric and water system and the system of specific seafood containers to serve the fair. 

The fair will have several cultural and sports activities such as singing and a fashion show, drum-beating performances and contests of beer drinking, cake eating, swimming, plant decorating, Chinese chess and the release of peace birds. 

According to the Organising Board of Haiphong Travel Festival, on the opening day of the fair, there will be the attraction of releasing more than 100 doves to into the sky.

The pigeon release is to create a typically cultural unique of this year’s food fair and will be performed by the Haiphong Craftsmen Association according to traditional custom. 

The fair will last for four days and is expected to attract a large number of people and tourists.
