Ba Be Lake travel project of Bac Kan province

Ba Be lake travel project, of 13 projects that leaders of the northern province of Bac Kan bring to Ho Chi Minh City to call for investment, Ba Be Lake ecological tourist project is considered the key.

Bac Kan plans to develop this project with a complex of hotel, restaurant, and entertainment sites to serve tourists and to hold conferences. With a total area of around 1,000ha, the Ba Be Lake tourist zone project will need US$50-100 million of investment capital. Scheduled to have its infrastructure completed in 2010, this project is defined to be a national tourist project by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT).

Chairman of the People’s Committee of Bac Kan province Vietnam, Ha Duc Toai, said that this project now has just general planning, not the detailed planning. The province plans to invite Saigontourist to invest in this project, which will be connected to the Ban Gioc tourist site in Cao Bang to become a tourism complex in the northern mountainous area.

Ba Be - Bac Kan province currently attracts only 20 projects worth VND200 billion (US$12.5 million).

13/ Planting forest and processing timber for export
