Vietnam tourism: welcomes Italian tourism businesses

Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy called on Italian tourism businesses to intensify investment in Vietnam at a conference held in Rome on March 21.
At the conference, entitled "Tourism - A Driving Force of Peace", Ambassador Nguyen Van Nam stressed that Vietnam, with a young population, a diversed culture and scores of places of scenic beauty, offers in many opportunities for international businesses and investors.
The event drew representatives from leading Italian and European travel agencies, including the Chairman of the Universal Federation of Travel Agents Association, Joe Borg Oliver.
The conference was held in anticipation of an international tourism fair slated for Mar. 22-24 in Rome with the participation of 1,200 tourism businesses and more than 4,000 travel companies from across the world.
