Foreign visitors to Hue up 31.5%
The central province of Thua Thien-Hue Vietnam has hosted nearly 260,000 visitors in the first quarter of this year, including around 142,000 foreigners.
The figure represents a year-on-year increase of 18.5% and 31.5% respectively.
During the reviewed period, the provincial tourism sector posted a turnover of almost 384 billion VND, up 30.1% over the same period last year.
Foreign visitors to Hue In March alone, Hue welcomed 54,900 foreign tourists, a year-on-year increase of 40.2%. Most of the visitors to Hue came from Australia, Germany, France, Holland, Russia, Thailand, the US and the Republic of Korea.
The provincial authorities are continuing investing in infrastructure to make use of the province's potential in developing the Lang Co Beach Ma-Hai Van resort complex and eco-tourism in combination with convalescence along the coastal area, in a move to entice more visitors to Hue.
