Kon Tum Vietnam turns head to ecological tourism

Kon Tum in Vietnam, the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum will invest more in changing for the better tourism services in Mang Den ecological tourism area from now to the year 2010.
Through this new investment, many services and facilities, resorts and rivers and streams within the Mang Den ecological tourism area will be upgraded. Hundreds of people have already been provided by the Kon Plong district administration with land to build villas in the Mang Den area.
The district administration is now restoring historical and cultural festivals and the gong culture of ethnic minority people in the Central Highlands. The administration is also encouraging business to invest more in building new urban areas, a cable car network, golf course and other services such as boating on a local reservoir and Central Highlands food and drink culture.
Kon Tum Vietnam, other efforts are being made to pool investment to upgrade the Mang Den airport into a mini-airport to better serve tourists.
At present, there are dozens of long-term investors in the Mang Den ecological tourism area with a total investment capital of US $300 million.
