Foreign visitors travel to Ho Chi Minh Vietnam

Travel to Ho Chi Minh Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City hosted more than 1 million foreign holidaymakers over the past five months, a year-on-year increase of 10 percent, according to the municipal tourism department.

Travel to Ho Chi Minh Vietnam, In May alone, the southern hub received 175,000 international tourists, representing an annual rise of 10.9 percent. Most of visitors came from Australia, Japan, the US and the Republic of Korea.

During the five-month period, the municipal tourism sector recorded a turnover of close to 8.5 trillion VND, a year-on-year rise of 40 percent.

An estimated 50,000 local tourists went on outbound tours in May, mainly to Cambodia, China, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore.

Meanwhile, Ha Noi Vietnam welcomed more than 3 million visitors during the five-month period, including 657,000 foreigners, and fetched nearly 8.2 trillion VND.

Foreign visitors travel to Ho Chi Minh, the General Statistics Office reported that the country has so far this year received 1.8 million international visitors, a year-on-year growth of 12.4 percent.
