Tourists visit Dalat Flower Festival 2007

Tourists visit Dalat Flower Festival, the Dalat Flower Festival is starting on February 15 until 22. Thousands beautiful and aromatic flowers will be blooming all around the place in the city of eternal spring to welcome tourists.

Besides famous Dalat flower species such as the violet flamboyant, orchid, mimosa, tulip, and rose, this year’s festival also displays other species of flowers from various localities nationwide and other countries such as Southeast Asian countries, China, Japan, Netherlands, and Belgium.

All the preparations on the streets are finished. Mr. Nguyen Vu Hoang, Director of the festival and culture center in Lam Dong Province said that Dalat flower festival 2007 will feature a big program such as the international flower fair, tourism and trade fair, street festive nights, and a double-bicycle festive day. Moreover, Dalat will abound with special art and culture performances displayed by artists from other 21 countries. Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Ho Tung Mau flower streets, and 10 landscapes in Dalat have been completed.

At present, there are not plenty of rooms left to accommodate visitors. In particular, the flower fair exhibition has attracted the participation of 92 businesses, including seven from overseas and the tourism and trade fair will have more than 500 kiosks displayed by 180 enterprises.

Dalat flower festival 2007 is expected to greet about 100,000 tourists against 80,000 tourists in 2005.
