Vietnam Airlines gives 50 percent discount on Tet

Vietnam Airlines discount on Tet, soldiers, policemen, teachers and students can enjoy a discount up to 53 percent of airfare when using air services of Vietnam Airlines on the occasion of the traditional New Year Festival (Vietnam Tet), which falls on February 2008.

Under a special discount programme for these beneficiaries, announced by Vietnam Airlines on December 27, the prices for one-way tickets between Ha Noi-Ho Chi Minh City booked three days before the departure will be 900,000 VND, and 500,000 VND for a flight between Da Nang-Ho Chi Minh City. 
The price for a one-way ticket between Ha Noi-Ho Chi Minh City booked on the day of departure will be 1.1 million VND for a travel on route, and 600,000 VND for the Da Nang-Ho Chi Minh City route. 

The discount programme will be implemented from Jan. 28 to Feb. 5, 2008 for flights from Ha Noi and Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City ; and from Feb. 9- 17, 2008 on the Ho Chi Minh City to Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City-Da Nang directions. 

Vietnam Airlines said in anticipation of sharp increases in demand for air travels between Jan. 24-Feb. 21, 2008, it will increase its flights by up to 40 percent on some domestic routes on rush days.
