Vietnam holiday tours sell like hot cakes

11/12/07 (GMT+7)

Holiday tours, Christmas and New Years are coming in the next 2-3 weeks and many families are urgently preparing for the holidays.

Dalat holiday tours

“My husband and I work for joint venture companies. We are busy all year, so we want to go somewhere with our children this Western New Year. Our children are very enthusiastic…,” said Cam Van, a woman from Tay Ho District, Hanoi Vietnam.

Van said her family has considered many tours and they decided to choose DaLat (Dalat Tours). “Priced at VND10 million, I hope my family will have a chance to see the DaLat Flower Festival and relax,” she said.

Some travel firms said that Sapa (Sapa Tours) and DaLat are the two “hot” tours this Christmas and Western New Year thanks to good service, reasonable prices, famous churches and romantic landscapes.

Less famous than Sapa and DaLat, Quan Lan – Cai Bau on Van Don Island, Quang Ninh province is also popular this Christmas and New Year thanks to low prices and natural beauty.

Overseas tours are other choices for many Vietnamese families. Foreign tour prices this Christmas and New Year depend on the time and service quality, for example $635 for a 4-day Hong Kong tour, $499 for a 5-day Singapore tour, etc.

At some travel firms, tours to Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Beijing – Shanghai, Seoul – Jeju Island are nearly sold out. Because this year’s Christmas and New Year’s holiday is not as long as last year, tours to Europe are not selling well.
