12/04/07 (GMT+7)
Nghe An province Vietnam has offered new incentives to encourage tourism development on the Lan Chau Islands in an effort to turn the Cua Lo beach resort into a regional tourism hub.

Local authorities have pledged smooth and speedy administrative procedures for both domestic and foreign investors. Authorities are also offering to aid in infrastructure expansion and services, including shared costs for land clearance responsibilities.
The township has promised to intensify investment in facilities such as electricity, water, waste and traffic systems.
Cua Lo has so far housed 11 tourism investment projects, licensed two others and have two others under feasibility study, with a total invested capital of over $82 million.
One of the bigger projects being granted a license is a massive tourist complex on 135 ha of land that will include an 18-hole golf course, the first ever in Nghe An province, a palace, hotels and rest-homes. The project with an investment estimated at VND 1 trillion is scheduled to become operational by 2020.
